広島の爆音バンドとして悪名高いJailbird Yが増子真二（DMBQ／ボアダムス）のミキシングで、現時代のパンクノイズを彼らのユニークなエクスプロージョンで塗り変えるべく待望のセカンドアルバムをリリース!!!

Jailbird Yのニューアルバム「Duality」は、ハードコアパンクのエネルギーと日本のアンダーグラウンドジャンクやノイズロックの実験とユーモアを組み合わせた快進作。
バンドはこのアルバムで2022年の奇妙でぶっ壊れた人生の感覚を表し、そのサウンドは2つの異なる側面に分割され、それぞれ非常に異なる条件下でレコーディングされた。

片側は、広島と東京で分かれ、バンドメンバーが半隔離状態で取り組み、covid-19パンデミックの長きにわたった緊急事態宣言下でリモートで録音されました。反対側は、パンデミック直前の2019年の台湾ツアー中に録音されたもので、バンドが道中でメイクノイズする自由と生身のエネルギーが音源におさめられている。
このアルバムはそれぞれの2つの世界に片足ずつ突っ込んでいる作品で、この奇妙な時代に向けて、そのふたつの世界を合わせることで、独特でスリリングな作品にまとまっている。

本アルバムはアナログレコードでリリースされ（ダウンロードコード付）、ピンクとパープルの大理石パターンデザインのレコード盤、さらに見開きジャケットには広島のアーティスト、葉朗（HARO WORKS）によるmind-bendingアートワークが描かれている。

Already notorious as one of Hiroshima's loudest bands, jailbird Y worked with mixing engineer Shinji Masuko (DMBQ/Boredoms) to produce this long-awaited second album that updates their unique explosion of punk noise for the current era.

"Duality" combines the energy of hardcore punk with the experimentation and humour of Japan's underground junk and noise-rock. The band use these sounds to express the strange, fractured feeling of life in 2022, with the album divided into two distinct sides, recorded under very different conditions. One side was recorded remotely during the long state of emergency periods during the covid-19 pandemic, with the band members working in semi-isolation, dispersed between Hiroshima and Tokyo. The other side was recorded while on tour in Taiwan in 2019, just before the pandemic, and captures both the freedom and raw energy of a band travelling and making a noise together. The album has one foot in each of those worlds and brings them together into unique and thrilling music for strange times.

The album will be released on pink/purple marble pattern vinyl, with a gatefold sleeve featuring mind-bending artwork by Hiroshima artist Haro Matsuda. A download card is included with the album.
